Several City departments heading to Lavender Hill to avail services

The City of Cape Town's Corporate Services Directorate is bringing its basket of services offering to the Lavender Hill Community Centre on Wednesday, 2 October 2024. Several City departments will be in attendance to present their services and will assist residents with enquiries or concerns that affect them. Read more below:
The details of the visit are as follows:
- Wednesday, 2 October 2024, from 09:00 to 15:00 at the Lavender Hill Community Centre, Cnr Hek Street and Grindle Avenue, Lavender Hill.
'Taking the City's services to the community of Lavender Hill is the City's way of showing that we are actually committed to bringing services to residents and making local government more accessible to all. Those who will be visiting us at the Community Centre must please remember to bring along their ID or municipal accounts to help ease the process,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
The departments that will be present at the Lavender Hill Community Centre are:
- Human Resources: For enquiries about bursaries, internships and Apprenticeships
- Social Development: To find out how you can get involved
- Energy
- Health: For more about primary health care services
- Safety and Security: For information about traffic and law enforcement services
- EPWP: Will assist jobseekers and unemployed youth with opportunities to register on the jobseekers database so that they are eligible for job opportunities that become available in their local communities
- Customer Relations Mobile Unit
Customers can engage with the City in a wide range of non-emergency enquiries such as rates, sewage, electricity, water, refuse collections, and all other account enquiries.
